


DJ OBÁ
DJ Obá is a Brazilian Black artist who energizes the cultural scene with performances blending music, theater, and dance—true sonic and visual experiments. Recognized for his charisma and asé (energy), he transcends traditional DJ sets, resonating messages of diversity and inclusion aligned with Brazil's new wave of pop culture. With over a decade on the decks, he has delved deep into Afrofuturism, highlighting Black protagonism and ancestral roots.
Their selections ignite dance floors at music events, corporate gatherings, birthdays, weddings, and top nightclubs nationwide. They are a resident DJ at NossaCasa Confraria das Ideias in Vila Madalena, São Paulo. Known as a tireless researcher, their sets are expansive, featuring original versions and remixes spanning MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), Forró, Pop, Samba, Samba-Rock, Disco, Bregafunk, Rap, Reggae, global grooves, and Soul.
ON THE DANCEFLOOR
DJ Obá has opened shows for Tássia Reis, Velha Guarda da Mangueira, Originais do Samba, Rico Dalasam, Liniker, Linn da Quebrada, As Bahias e Cozinha Mineira, Samba de Coco Raízes do Arcoverde, Nega Duda, Totô de Babalong, and shared the stage with DJ KL Jay. They have performed at the 28th LGBT+ Pride Parade in São Paulo, Globo TV, Feira Preta, Unibes, Virada Sustentável, Festival Série-Lab at Cinemateca, MIS-SP, and Som na Rural.
